University of North Dakota Athletics

A native of the Bronx, N.Y., Jones is a 1975 graduate of UND with a bachelor's degree in elementary and physical education. He was a two-time (1974-75) letterwinner as a guard for the Sioux basketball team. Jones was a Sioux captain, the team's assists leader and it top defensive player inn each of the two seasons and was a first-team All-Midwest Regional choice in 1974. Jones, who says his degree has helped him in teaching and coaching kids, has been employed by the UND Housing Office as a Head Resident; has been UND's junior varsity basketball coach.
