  To everyone Lloyd Hallada this Grand Forks native, is known as "Boom" Hallada. Boom earned seven letters as a standout Sioux football back, trackman, and boxer. He lettered in football four years, 1948-51, as a very good fullback. He threw the shot in track, lettering in 1951 and 1952, and earned one letter as a boxer in 1948-49. His football honors included being named to the All North Central Conference first team twice, 1950 and 1951, serving as captain his senior year and being chosen MVP by his teammates that same year.
