  This native of Wheaton, Minn., is another two-sport Sioux standout. He was an outstanding baseball player and lettered in that sport 1964-65 through 1966-67, as a fine infielder. Schultz earned All North Central Conference first team selection three straight years. Also, he was a basketball guard 1964-67 and lettered under Coach Bill Fitch. In both sports his senior year he served as team captain. Following graduation from UND he Schultz played four years of professional baseball in the New York Yankee organizations until he retired in 1970.
