  Revell, better known as Gene to many of his friends, was a great Sioux football star that played on the teams from 1930-32. Those teams won 24, lost only 3 and tied two games plus winning two North Central Conference championships. He played as a fullback in 1930 and moved to quarterback in 1931 and 1932. During his sophomore year he received the M. B. Ruud Scholarship Award for being the athlete with the highest academic average. After graduating in 1933 with a degree in business administration and accounting he became a member of the UND Alumni Association Board of Directors from 1946-49.
