GRAND FORKS, N.D. - No. 13/15 North Dakota will clash with No. 1/1 North Dakota State inside the Alerus Center this Saturday. Kickoff between the Fighting Hawks and Bison is slated for 1 p.m. The game will be televised on Midco Sports. It will also be carried on the Fighting Hawks Radio Network with a pregame show starting at Noon.

North Dakota comes into the contest with a 6-3 overall record and a 4-1 mark in the MVFC after stumbling, 26-21, at South Dakota last weekend. The Hawks turned the ball over three times and trailed 26-7 midway through the third quarter but scored a pair of touchdowns in the final 18 minutes to close the gap. UND had a pair of chances to get the lead in the final stanza but turned the ball over on downs on both possessions. Sawyer Seidl was the most productive Hawk offensively in the loss with 102 yards rushing on 16 attempts and a pair of touchdown runs.

Top-ranked North Dakota State enters the game at 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the league following a 38-30 win over No. 18/19 Youngstown State on Saturday. NDSU scored two touchdowns off YSU turnovers and Jackson Williams recorded a 100-yard kickoff return for touchdown in the second quarter to help the Bison hold off the Penguins. NDSU also controlled the ball for nearly 21 minutes in the second half to slow down the Youngstown State offense.

This will be the 118th meeting all-time between North Dakota and North Dakota State. In games played in Grand Forks, UND holds a 35-22-2 advantage. Since the turn of the century, the Bison hold a 7-4 series lead. Last season, the Bison were victorious, 41-17, over the Fighting Hawks in Fargo. In 2023, UND ran away with a 49-24 victory inside the Alerus Center.
