NOTES: Fighting Hawks continue south for conference matchup at Kansas City

The 5-9 Fighting Hawks continue their first conference road trip with a Saturday matchup at Kansas City. UND is set to tip off against the Roos on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 1 p.m.

All UND women's basketball games, both home and away, are broadcast on the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network and streamed via the iHeart Radio app, with veteran broadcaster Jack Michaels providing play-by-play commentary. Saturday's game will air on 100.3 FM (Cat Country).

Series History: UND vs. The Roos
North Dakota trails 3-4 in the all-time series against the Roos, having never won in Kansas City. The teams split their series last season with the Hawks picking up a 76-62 win at home in January but falling at KC 86-71 in February.
 
Last Time Out: vs. Omaha
North Dakota fell 71-66 in their conference opener on Thursday night to the Omaha Mavericks despite a 27-point fourth quarter.

UND started strong in the first quarter, shooting 52.9% (9-of-17) from the field and staying within three points of Omaha, 28-25, at the end of the period.

Kiera Pemberton led all scorers with 22 points, shooting 8-of-15 from the field and 6-of-9 from the free-throw line, along with 13 rebounds for her fourth double-double. Jocelyn Schiller added 16 points, while Walker Demers chipped in 10 points and six rebounds.

The Fighting Hawks led shot percentage 46.8% (22-of-47) compared to Omaha's 41.3% (26-of-63). UND struggled from three-point range shooting 18.8% (3-of-16) to the Mavericks' 31.8% (7-of-22). NoDak had a dominant presence on the free throw line going 73.1% (19-of-26) compared to UNO's 63.2% (12-of-19). North Dakota outrebounded Omaha 37-32 but committed 29 turnovers compared to the Mavericks' 20.
