BROOKINGS, S.D. – North Dakota shattered a pair of school records at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Meet and won eight individual crowns on Saturday. The Fighting Hawks also recorded nine marks which went down as improvements on the UND top-10 lists and had four individuals finish as runners-up.

Ethan Thomas was the first Hawk to win an individual title at the meet and destroyed a school record that stood for nearly four decades in the process. Thomas shattered the school record in the shot put with a throw of 59-6 1/4 (18.14m). He broke the record of Dave Levos, who held the record since 1986 after setting it at 59-1 1/2 (18.02m) in Fargo. Thomas now ranks No. 44 in the NCAA in the shot put.

Towards the end of the meet, Jadyn Keeler won the 3,000-meter crown and shattered the school record with a time of 9:17.58. She broke the school record of Yonca Kutluk, who set it at 9:22.35 in Seattle last season. Keeler's time currently ranks No. 38 in the NCAA.

In the men's 3,000 meters, Matej Hrebacka was victorious and improved his No. 2 time on the UND top-10 list, clocking a time of 8:13.56.

Earlier in the meet, Jerzie Finstad won the 400 meter title with a time of 54.76, moving her up to No. 2 on the UND top-10 list. She was also the runner-up in the 200 meters in 24.51, which currently sits as the No. 4 time in program history.

Fellow sprinter Nadia Evans claimed the title in the 200 meters in a time of 24.45 and moved up to No. 3 on the UND top-10 list in the event with that time. Earlier, Evans was the runner-up in the 60-meter final with a time of 7.68.

Kenna Curry also had a pair of top-two finishes at the meet. She won the title in the weight throw with a mark of 71-3 1/4 (21.72m) and was second in the shot put with a toss of 47-11 1/4 (14.61m).

Eve Goldstein was the winner in the shot put with a throw of 48-3 1/4 (14.71m). Her mark improved her No. 4 throw in program history.

Morgan Hartze, competing in her second meet as a Fighting Hawk, won her first collegiate title and was victorious in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:15.60.

Jiri Ceska was the runner-up in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:51.27, good for the No. 4 time on the UND top-10 list.

Tiffanie Magnusson also made an improvement on the UND top-10 list with a time of 8.93 in the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles, which improved her No. 8 time in the event in school history. That time automatically qualified her for the final, where she finished sixth in 9.04.
