NOTES: North Dakota set to host Denver in Summit League battle

The 6-10 Fighting Hawks are set to host the Denver Pioneers for another conference matchup in the Betty on Saturday, January 11. Tip off on Saturday is set for 1 p.m.

All UND women's basketball games, both home and away, are broadcast on the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network and streamed via the iHeart Radio app, with veteran broadcaster Jack Michaels providing play-by-play commentary. Saturday's game will air on 100.3 FM (Cat Country).

Series History: UND vs. The Pioneers
The Fighting Hawks hold a strong lead in the all-time series against the Pios, leading 11-4 overall and 4-2 at the Betty. UND is on a seven-game win streak over Denver dating back to February 6, 2021.
 
Last Time Out: vs. Oral Roberts  
For the first time since 2022, the Fighting Hawks went to overtime in a regular season game. UND fell just short, 98-91, in a closely contested double-overtime thriller against Oral Roberts who's ranked No. 20 in the Mid-Major Women's Basketball Poll. 

Kiera Pemberton led North Dakota with a career-high 34 points and eight rebounds, shooting 14-of-24 from the field. Mikayla Aumer added 18 points, just shy of her career-best 19, including 5-of-11 shooting from three-point range and 6-of-14 overall. Walker Demers contributed 11 points, 3-of-3 from the free throw line and eight rebounds. Nevaeh Ferrara Horne and Jocelyn Schiller were also among the five Hawks to reach double-digit scoring.

UND shot 52.2% from the field (35-of-67) and a stellar 92.9% from the free-throw line (13-of-14). NoDak shot 34.8% (8-of-23) from three-point range. Tonight marked the first game the Hawks shot above 50%. Oral Roberts shot 44% (33-of-75) from the field, 32.1% (9-of-28) from three-point range, and 79.3% (23-of-29) from the free throw line. Oral Roberts capitalized on UND's 18 turnovers, scoring 26 points off miscues. UND held a 46-34 advantage in points in the paint.
