NOTES: Women's hoops head to Western Kentucky for road battle

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The 2-2 Fighting Hawks travel to Western Kentucky for their first road game of the season after the cancelation of the Youngstown State matchup. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, Nov. 24, at E.A. Diddle Arena.

Series History vs. Western Kentucky
Sunday will mark the third meeting between UND and Western Kentucky, with the all-time series tied at 1-1. The last meeting, on Jan. 10, 2011, saw UND win 90-72 at home. The Hawks' only previous trip to Bowling Green, Kentucky, resulted in a 71-46 loss in 2009.
 
Last Time Out: vs. Montana
North Dakota fell to Montana, 71-59, on Thursday night. Fatima Ibrahim led the team with a career-high 17 points and six rebounds. For the fourth time this season, Jocelyn Schiller led the team in assists with three.

Nevaeh Ferrara Horne, Walker Demers, Ibrahim, and Miranda VanderWal each recorded a block, with one coming in each quarter. UND shot 41.5% (22-of-53) from the field, slightly better than Montana's 40.7% (24-of-59). However, Montana held a significant advantage in three-point shooting, converting 35.7% (10-of-28) compared to UND's 16.7% (2-of-12).
 

In the Rankings
The Hawks are averaging 30.8 defensive rebounds per game, ranking them 20th nationally. Meanwhile, UND leads the conference and ranks 16th nationally with 18 free throws made per game.

UND's defense has been exceptional, holding opponents to a league-best .388 shooting percentage, the best in the conference.

Mikayla Aumer's .500 three-point shooting percentage places her 52nd nationally, while securing the second-best mark in the conference.
