Series History vs Oral Roberts
Oral Roberts holds a 7-3 advantage in the all-time Fighting Hawks - Golden Eagles series that began in 2019. They split the season series last year, with both teams earning a win at their home venue. Both matchups a season ago were closely contested and high-scoring affairs. ORU won the first meeting, 96-91, at the Mabee Center, while UND took a 108-100 victory at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
Kacie Borowicz notched a double-double in both games against the Golden Eagles and averaged 25.5 points, 11.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game.
Sammiyah Hoskin grabbed 7.5 boards per game against ORU, including 10 offensive rebounds.
After holding a lead at halftime, of the 96-91 loss at the Mabee Center, the Hawks found themselves in a 15-point deficit heading to the fourth quarter. North Dakota would explode for 37 points in the final frame, but the Golden Eagles did enough to keep the Hawks at bay and earn the win.
Last Time Out: vs Kansas City
Kiera Pemberton exploded for a career-high 27 points against Kansas City on 8-of-13 shooting in the Fighting Hawks 76-62 win over Kansas City Saturday. The freshman from Langley, B.C., connected on her first career three-pointer, blocked two shots and went 10-for-11 from the free throw line.
The Fighting Hawks extended their lead to double-digits early in the fourth quarter and would take their largest lead of the night, 73-57, on Pemberton's three-point basket. After holding a 42-36 lead at halftime, the Hawks improved to 5-1 on the season when holding the advantage at the intermission.
Borowicz Earns Second Summit League Weekly Accolade
After recording a triple-double against Omaha, and helping the Hawks to a 2-0 week,
Kacie Borowicz was named the Summit League Peak Performer of the Week for the second time this season and sixth time in her career.
The Preseason Player of the Year opened her week by becoming the third player in UND history to register a triple-double. Borowicz scored 20 points, pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds and dished out a season-high 10 assists in the 100-75 victory over Omaha. The Roseau, Minn., native then tallied 10 points, a team-high seven rebounds and added two steals in a 79-61 victory over Kansas City that was UND's third in the last four games.
Messed Around and Got a Triple-Double
Kacie Borowicz added her name in the UND record book alongside two North Dakota greats,
Katie Richards and
Jenny Crouse, as the third player in program history to record a triple-double in the Hawks 100-75 win over Omaha. Borowicz scored 20 points, dished out 10 assists and pulled down 11 rebounds. Borowicz is one of 17 players in the NCAA to secure a triple-double this season, and the only player from player from the Summit League.
Richards posted a 13 point, 11 assist and 10 rebound triple-double against Morningside on Jan. 15, 2000, while Crouse had 19 points, 14 blocks and 12 rebounds against St. Cloud State on Feb. 8, 1997.
Finding the Range

UND made 6-of-14 from deep in both games against Idaho State and Eastern Washington, before knocking down a season-high 11-of-20 in its 100-75 win over Omaha Thursday.
Kiyah Hurst led the way with a perfect 4-of-4 from deep performance against the Mavericks, a Fighting Hawks single-game high this season.
Sammiyah Hoskin,
Kacie Borowicz and
Jayla Owen all knocked two triples in the win, and UND hit the century mark for the first time since a 102-99 overtime win over Northern Illinois last season.
