GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Fighting Hawks return to the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center Friday to host NAIA Mayville State at 7:00 p.m. UND holds a 3-2 record at the Betty so far this season, and averages 68.0 points per game on its home floor.

Series History vs Mayville State
The Fighting Hawks own a 36-0 all-time record against Mayville State dating back to 1976. The last 29 meetings between the two teams have been in Grand Forks, with the Hawks holding a 32-0 mark at home against the Comets.
Kacie Borowicz poured in 28 points against the Comets in last year's meeting to lead the Hawks to an 87-66 victory. Borowicz went 10-for-10 from the free throw line and dished out six assists in the win.
Kiyah Hurst added 12 points off the bench on 6-of-12 shooting.
Last Time Out: vs Eastern Illinois
A pair of freshmen led the Hawks in scoring against Eastern Illinois in
Nevaeh Ferrara Horne with 13 points and
Kiera Pemberton with 11. Ferrara Horne set a new season best in scoring, while Pemberton just missed her second career double-double with eight rebounds. UND scored 15 second chance points off 16 offensive rebounds.
Sammiyah Hoskin led the glass attack with five offensive rebounds and was followed by Pemberton who had four offensive boards.
The Hawks started slow in Charleston, Ill., falling behind 22-7 after the first quarter of play and 46-20 at halftime. UND won the third and fourth quarters, but the first half deficit was too much to overcome, falling 67-55 to the Panthers.
Boards and Buckets
Kiera Pemberton is one of five freshmen in the NCAA to average over 8.5 points per game, over 6.5 rebounds per game and shoot over .550 from the field. She has been one of the most efficient scoring options for the Fighting Hawks so for this season with a .600 shooting percentage for 8.8 points per game. The freshmen from Langley, B.C. has reached double-digit scoring in each of her last three games and converted .750 percent of her field goal attempts over the last four contests.
Pemberton played a season-high 28 minutes against Eastern Michigan and turned in a 13-point and seven-rebound performance against the Eagles. She went a perfect 6-for-6 from the field with 12 points in the win over Minot State.
Pemberton has shot over .750 percent in four games this season, including the game against Grand Canyon where she posted her first career double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds on 7-for-9 shooting.
Blocked By Ibrahim
Fatima Ibrahim has made her presence felt in the paint over her last two games totaling six blocks against Minot State and Eastern Illinois. Ibrahim rejected two shots against the Beavers to go with six points and five rebounds.
Ibrahim's four blocks against Eastern Illinois is the most by a Fighting Hawk since the 2021-22 season when Melissa Leet swatted nine Oral Roberts shot attempts in a 53-34 victory. The freshman center also grabbed three boards against the Panthers.
