UND leads 2-1 all-time against the Eagles and won last year's contest 79-73 in Ypsilanti, Mich. The Fighting Hawks trailed by a point heading into the fourth quarter, but outscored the Eagles 20-13 in the final period to capture an 79-73 victory. The Hawks were a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line in the final 10 minutes, and they held the Eagles to 3-of-15 from the field.

Kacie Borowicz poured in 34 points on 10-of-19 shooting and went 12-of-13 from the charity stripe. Borowicz grabbed seven boards and dished out five assists. Sammiyah Hoskin tallied seven points, while Kiyah Hurst added six.

Last Time Out: vs Minot State
Kiyah Hurst led the Hawks in scoring for the second straight game and set a new career high with 26 points. The Milwaukee, Wis. native recorded a .688 shooting percentage and knocked down a pair of three-pointers. Hurst was key in winning the rebounding battle over the Beavers, as she grabbed a game high eight rebounds.

The Fighting Hawks scored 13 points off Minot State turnovers with nine steals. Sammiyah Hoskin was a catalyst for the Hawks defense, as she swiped a career best four steals.

The score was knotted at 10 following the first quarter, but the Hawks outscored Minot State 50-22 over the second and third quarters to take control of the game. UND hit season highs in three-pointers with seven and assists with 16.

Hurst So Good
Kiyah Hurst has increased her scoring output in all four of the games she's played in so far this season. Hurst hit double-digits for the first time with 12 points against North Texas on Nov. 25 before exploding for a career-high 26 points against Minot State. Hurst connected on 11-of-16 attempts in the 82-53 UND win and corralled eight rebounds.

The former four-star recruit out of high school has increased her scoring output by nearly five points per game through the first four games of 2023 from 8.1 to 13.3 points per contest.

After averaging 3.8 rebounds per game in her freshman campaign, her rebounding production has also seen an uptick to 6.8 boards per contest. Hurst has led the Hawks in rebounds in two of the last four games, including a career-high 10 boards against Montana State, her first game of the season.
