Montana State holds a 13-7 all-time record against North Dakota dating back to 1976 when the teams first met. The Fighting Hawks are 6-3 against the Bobcats in the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.

The two teams last squared off in the Betty on Nov. 20, 2021 with the Hawks taking an 89-56 win behind 33 points from Kacie Borowicz. Borowcz dished out five assists, shot 6-for-10 from the field and was a perfect 20-of-20 from the free throw line. DJ Davis also reached double digits with 11 points.

The win over Montana State was also head coach Mallory Bernhard's first as the official head coach of the Fighting Hawks.

Last Time Out: vs Concordia
Behind a strong second quarter, the Fighting Hawks cruised past Concordia 80-47 Wednesday night to earn their first win of the season. The Hawks outscored the Cobbers 27-8 in the second frame while holding Concordia to 2-of-15 shooting. UND connected on 11-of-18 attempts from the field to close out the first half with a 46-25 advantage.

Kacie Borowicz had a game high 22 points and was followed by Sammiyah Hoskin's 12 points. Mikayla Aumer led the bench unit with 10 points, including a pair of three-pointers.

Borowicz named Summit League Peak Performer of the Week
Kacie Borowicz was named the Summit League Women's Basketball Peak Performer of the Week Monday. Borowicz was the lone Summit League player during the opening week to score 20-plus in two contests as she racked up her fifth career weekly honor.

Borowicz opened the season by pouring 29 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the floor in a road loss at Wyoming. She also went 6-for-8 from the foul stripe and added three rebounds against the Cowgirls. In UND's home opener against Grand Canyon, the Roseau, Minn., native led all scorers with 20 points and also equaled her career-high with five steals against the Lopes.

For the week, Borowicz averaged 24.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game for the Fighting Hawks.
