Series History vs. the Wildcats
Saturday marks the 14th all-time meeting between North Dakota and Weber State, with UND holding a 9-4 advantage in the series. The two teams met last season in Ogden, as the Wildcats came away with a 72-57 victory against a Fighting Hawks team that was depleted.Â
NoDak is 4-2 all-time at home against Weber State, with all four of those wins coming by double digits.Â
Last Time Out: at Eastern Michigan
UND took down previously unbeaten Eastern Michigan, 79-73, last Sunday afternoon in Ypsilanti, Mich. to close out a perfect weekend of basketball.Â
Kacie Borowicz put together another sparkling performance, notching another 30-point game. The senior tallied 34 points on 10-of-19 shooting to just miss her career best, previously set this season, by a single point. The Roseau, Minn., native also finished with seven rebounds, five assists and a steal in 38 minutes of action to finish as the team's leading scorer for the eighth straight game.Â
Claire Orth also reached double figures for the Fighting Hawks, matching her season-best with 16 points on 7-of-13 from the field while grabbing five boards in 38 minutes of play.
Juliet Gordon was the final visitor with at least 10 points, scoring 10 and grabbing eight rebounds to just miss her second double-double of the season.Â
Home Sweet Home
UND is looking to keep up its dominance at home this season, as a win would improve the Hawks to 4-0 inside the Betty to begin the season. The last time NoDak started 4-0 at home was 2017-18, when the green and white won the first five contests at the Betty that year.Â
The Fighting Hawks have averaged 71.3 points per game and allowed just 48.7 per contest in the three games at home so far this season, including just 30 to UW-Superior last Friday.Â
30 Minutes or Less
In last Friday's win over UW-Superior, North Dakota held the Yellowjackets to just 30 points, marking the lowest output by an opponent since Dec. 17, 2008 against Mayville State (27), the program's first year as a Division I school. Â
The 30 points were just four shy of the program's all-time record of 26, set on Nov. 23, 1996 vs. Mayville State in a 94-26 Fighting Sioux victory.Â
It's the second time under Head Coach
Mallory Bernhard that UND has allowed fewer than 40 points, holding Oral Roberts to 34 in last season's win.
