* This game marks the second meet-up of these teams since UND left the Big Sky Conference.
* Melissa Leet heads into the game after reaching a single game high in points (19) and a single game high in steals (4) against Montana.

* UND currently sits eighth in the Summit League standings after being ranked ninth in Summit's Preseason Coaches Poll.
* The Fighting Hawks welcomes new faces to the rotation. Jodi Anderson and Sammiyah Hoskin have been a helpful addition off the bench. Anderson averages eight points per game. Hoskin averages five point per game.
* Claire Orth leads the Fighting Hawks in free throws sitting at 1.000 (7-7). She has 40 points so far this season as she looks to add to that total on Saturday against the Bobcats.

ON TAP
Continuing the battle at home, the North Dakota Fighting Hawks host another Big Sky team, the Montana State Bobcats. The game will tip-off at 2 p.m.

BENCH SCORING UP
The beginning of the season has been less than ideal for the Fighting Hawks. They played the first three games missing three starters. Despite missing key players, the Fighting Hawks bench has averaged 14.7 points per game. The leaders off the bench are freshman, Jodi Anderson, and junior, Sammiyah Hoskin. Anderson has an average of ten points off the bench. Hoskin has an average of five points per game. These two have been instrumental since the Fighting Hawks have struggled with a shorter bench and foul trouble for some of their key players.

ALL-TIME WITH MONTANA STATE
The University of North Dakota trails the all-time series 12-6. During the last meeting of the two teams, the Bobcats defeated the Fighting Hawks 84-72.

LEET'S LEAD
Fans of the Fighting Hawks women's basketball have always known how agile Melissa Leet is in the paint. After scoring 143 points in the 2019-20 season, Leet has been continuously working to beat her own records. On Thursday, Nov. 18, against Montana she accomplished it. She recorded a new single game high in points (19) and a new single game high in steals (4). She continues to seek to break those career records as she heads into the game against Montana State.

DANINGER'S DEFENSE
Joli Daninger has been a defensive force for the Fighting Hawks this season. The transfer from DePaul was named a 2021-22 captain alongside Claire Orth. This is fitting considering she leads the team in rebounds at 5.7 per game. Although she is a force to be reckoned with on defense, Joli can play both sides of the ball. She holds the lead in assists per game (3.3).

HOSKIN'S HOT HANDS
Sammiyah Hoskin has been a helpful addition off the bench for the Fighting Hawks. The junior transferred from Detroit Mercy. She currently sits as the leader in field goal percentage (.556). During the contest against UTEP, she scored a single game high in points (10). She saw plenty of minutes in the two games she has played. At UTEP, she had 19 minutes off the bench. She saw another 18 minutes on the court against Montana on Thursday, Nov. 18.

SCOUTING MONTANA STATE
Montana State enters the weekend with a 1-3 overall record. The Bobcats opened their season at home with a win against Carroll College, 69-60. Since then, they have struggled on the road and lost three consecutive games by large margins. Their first loss came at Gonzaga, 47-72. After that came losses at UNLV (42-80) and South Dakota State (49-78). Junior Darian White leads the Bobcats in points with an average of 12.7. White shoots 34.9 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the free throw line. The Grizzlies were picked second in the Big Sky Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. They currently sit ninth in the standings.

NEXT UP
Following Saturday's contest, the Fighting Hawks will continue their season on the road against Bucknell in the Vermont Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m.
