EVEN THE SCORE AGAINST THE GOLDEN EAGLES
In the Fighting Hawks and Golden Eagles first meeting on Jan. 11 in Tulsa, Oral Roberts dominated the boards and the ball game en route to a 23-point win. It was the only game in 2019-20 that a North Dakota player failed to score at least 10 points as
Lilly Keplin and
Maggie Manson each led the Hawks with nine points. While ORU was +20 on the glass and 27-of-64 from the field, the Golden Eagles are only averaging 60 points and shooting less than 35-percent on the road with a 1-11 record. Keni Jo Lippe and Rylie Torrey have accounted for almost 50-percent of the team's shots on the road and have combined for 31.2 points in 12 ORU road games. The Golden Eagles are 9-13 this season with a 4-5 clip in Summit League contests. ORU is led by Lippe, who leads the team in points (18.4), rebounds (7.3) and assists (2.7).
SCOUTING SOUTH DAKOTA
South Dakota has only improved on upon last season's success that saw them ranked in the Associated Press Top-25 for the first time in its Division I history. The Coyotes have been ranked in each poll since mid-December and currently sit 22nd in the AP Poll and No. 18 in the USA Today Coaches Poll with a 21-2 record and a 10-0 conference mark. USD's only losses have come at the hands of nationally-ranked foes Missouri State and South Carolina. Ciara Duffy, The Summit League's reigning Player of the Month for January, is averaging 17.4 points per game and is shooting a conference-best .583 in the last six games.
HOW THEY'VE FAIRED
The Fighting Hawks are 0-6 against nationally-ranked opponents since making the jump to the Division I ranks in 2008-09. All five games have occurred during the tenure of Head Coach
