Playing their final tilt before Christmas, the University of North Dakota will hit the road for Wisconsin when it takes on Milwaukee on Saturday, Dec. 21. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
A NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER
North Dakota opened the season 7-2 in the month of November, its third-best win total in the month in program history. In 2005 and in 2006, the Fighting Sioux posted nine and eight wins, respectively. The 2005-06 squad finished 34-1 while the 2006-07 Sioux advanced to the Elite Eight.
SCOUTING MILWAUKEE
Milwaukee enters Saturday's meeting with a 3-7 record with wins over Wisconsin Parkside (Nov. 6), Arkansas Pine Bluff (Nov. 19) and Northern Illinois (Dec. 5). The Panthers are 1-2 in the month of December and are playing the entire month in the city. UWM is allowing its foes to score 72.2 points per game while averaging 60.5 points itself. Scoring by committee, the Panthers have five players scoring 7.0 points per game and none in double figures. Sydney Levy leads the team with 8.4 points per game. Milwaukee's opponents are shooting 35 percent behind the three point line, giving up a season-high 15 baskets against UW-Parkside.
ITS ALGONQUIN FOR THE GOOD LAND
The city of Milwaukee was a gracious host in the University of North Dakota's previous stop at UWM as the Fighting Hawks defeated the Panthers, 78-66, on Dec. 4, 2013. The Fighting Hawks are 2-1 all-time against Milwaukee, dropping last season's meeting at The Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
