Last playing on Dec. 9 at SMU, the University of North Dakota will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 18, hosting Mayville State at 7 p.m.

*North Dakota is in the middle of final exams right now and will only be playing its second game of December.
* Wednesday's game will be the University of North Dakota's last game of the decade at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. The Fighting Hawks have posted a 97-40 record at The Betty.

FLYING HIGH WITH THE EAGLES AND COMETS
The series between North Dakota and Mayville State is one of the program's longest continuing series since the teams first met in 1976. Wednesday's game will be the 34th meeting between the Fighting Hawks and Comets and the 30th in Grand Forks. UND is 33-0 all-time against Mayville State.

SCOUTING MAYVILLE STATE
The Comets opened the season ranked 23rd in the NAIA Division II Coaches Poll and moved up to No. 21 on Dec. 2. Mayville State owns a 9-2 record with its only losses to No. 10 Saint Xavier (Ill.) and Jamestown College on Dec. 11. MSU is coming off a 97-59 exhibition loss to North Dakota State; however, the Comets led NDSU at halftime, 35-31. Mayville State has a trio of players scoring in double figures, led by Claire Blascziek's 14.3 points per game average. In its regular-season games, MSU has outscored its foes 214-129 in the second quarter.
