GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- Four North Dakota players were in double figures tonight as host North Dakota earned a convincing 88-40 victory over Dickinson State Tuesday evening for its sixth straight win. Junior Mia Loyd led all scorers with 19 while Megan Lauck and Emily Evers each chipped in 17 for the home team.

Evers also added 13 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season as UND had nine different players find the score sheet. North Dakota combined for 25 assists on 35 made field goals in the win.

The game was closely contested in the early going as Dickinson State (1-7) made seven of its first nine shots from the floor for a 17-16 lead. From there, North Dakota burst out with a quick 9-0 run on a jumper by Loyd and a Siri Burck triple, part of a 33-10 stretch to end the first half.

UND would allow just 13 second-half points, allowing the reserves to log considerable minutes.

Four different UND players were in double figures scoring as Leah Szabla added 10 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals for North Dakota.  The UND bench outscored DSU 30-7 with the first points of the collegiate careers for both Emily Thompson (5) and Grace Sawatzke (2), all coming from the free throw line.

Junior Kelsey Knox, despite not scoring, provided seven assists, six rebounds and a steal with just one turnover. As a team, North Dakota turned it over a season-low 13 times while forcing the Bluehawks into 25 miscues, a season-high for a North Dakota opponent.

Haille Farstveet had 15 points while Ashley Bentz added 14 for Dickinson State.

North Dakota (6-1) heads to Fargo, N.D. Saturday evening for a tilt with in-state rival North Dakota State. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m. from Scheels Arena.

Notes: North Dakota extended its best start (6-1) in its Division I era ... The six-game winning streak is the longest in head coach Travis Brewster's tenure ... Szabla's six rebounds tied a career high ... UND has now won nine straight non-conference home games dating back to the 2012-13 season ... UND improved to 7-0 all-time against Dickinson State.
