Miller, Fighting Hawks play to 0-0 tie at Boise State

BOISE, Idaho – The University of North Dakota soccer team earned a big result on the road on Thursday night, playing to a 0-0 tie against Boise State from the Boas Soccer Complex in Boise, Idaho.

The draw snaps a three-game losing skid for the Fighting Hawks (5-3-1) and helps the visitors secure their first result against Boise State (2-3-3) in four all-time meetings.

NoDak also secured a winning record in nonconference action with one match to play and improved to 3-2-1 this season away from Grand Forks.

Grace Miller was the story between the pipes, as the sophomore finished a perfect 8-for-8 on Boise State shots to record her third shutout of the season. She made her best save early in the second half, as the netminder made a diving save on a free runner in the box to keep the game scoreless.

Charlie Basinet and Cora Ellermann each paced the Hawks with a shot on goal each, while Paula Moreno Diaz had a deep strike from distance that just missed finding the back of the net in the 13th minute.

North Dakota will remain in Idaho to close out nonconference play against former Big Sky Conference foe Idaho State on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. The match will stream on ESPN+.
