Five Fighting Hawks Named to All-Summit League Teams

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Five members of the North Dakota soccer team were honored by The Summit League on Thursday morning, league officials announced, marking the highest number of UND student-athletes recognized post-season since joining the conference.
 
Junior midfielder Cora Ellermann highlighted the selections for UND as she collected Second Team All-Summit honors as well as a spot on the All-Newcomer Team. She appeared in the top 10 of the conference in goals, average goals per game, total assists, average assists per game and total points. In her first season with the Hawks, Ellermann appeared in all 18 games this season with 1201 minutes of action, leading the team with 19 points and nine assists while adding five goals.
 
Joining her on the All-Newcomer Team is midfielder Yui Fujii, who tallied four goals and three assists for 11 total points this season. She accrued five multi-point games in 2025, appeared in all 18 games and totaled 13 shots on goal. Additionally, the senior netted the lone goal for UND in a 1-0 defeat of NDSU, which gave the Hawks its first conference win since 2023.
 
Three Fighting Hawks also earned honorable mentions from the league, as forward Charlie Basinet, defender Amelia Loeffler and goalkeeper Grace Miller were all recognized.
 
Basinet had herself a standout sophomore season, as she sat second in the conference in shots, shots per game, goals, average goals per game, total points and points per game. She made the most of her 18 appearances, leading UND with eight goals, 47 shots and 19 total points. Basinet logged five multi-point games, including a six-point performance against Eastern Washington—where she grabbed a hattrick—before ending the year with a brace at St. Thomas all while collecting two Summit League Offensive Peak Performer honors this season.
 
Loeffler secured her third consecutive post-season selection with another honorable mention nod after appearing in 16 games with 16 starts. The senior topped the league in game-winning goals with a commanding three GWG and tallied four total goals and one assist in 2025.  
 
Rounding out the honored Fighting Hawks is Miller, who earned two Summit League Defensive Peak Performer honors this season. She totaled 1509 minutes on the field and lead the league with a stunning six shutouts while sitting second in total saves (79), third in save percentage (.806) and saves per game (4.55) and fourth in average goals against (1.133). The senior also registered a season-high 11 saves during a non-conference match against Idaho State.
