NOTES: North Dakota welcomes Jackrabbits to the Betty Sunday

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota women's hoops welcomes the 2022-23 Summit League champions South Dakota State to the Betty Sunday. The Fighting Hawks and Jackrabbits with tip at 12:00 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

Series History vs South Dakota State
UND holds a 41-35 record all-time against the Jackrabbits, but have lost 14 straight games to SDSU. The last North Dakota win in the series was in March of 2004.
 
The 75-57 loss to SDSU last season was the only Hawks loss at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center last season. NoDak posted a 13-1 record on their home floor in 2022-23. Kiyah Hurst paced NoDak with 18 points off the bench last season when the Jacks visited Grand Forks. Kacie Borowicz added 10 points, six rebounds and six assists in the contest.
 
Last Time Out: vs St. Thomas
NoDak fell in its Summit League opener at St. Thomas, 95-76, Friday in St. Paul, Minn. The Tommies built an early lead with the long ball, connecting on their first four attempts from deep, and would end the contest with 13 three-pointers on 23 attempts. UST increased its lead in the second quarter, and would hold a 57-35 lead at the intermission. Despite outscoring the Tommies in the second half, UND was unable to cut the deficit to single-digits.
 
Kacie Borowicz poured in a season-high 32 points to go with five rebounds, three assists and three steals. She also became UND's career points leader in the Division I era with 1,659 and counting. Kiyah Hurst chipped in 12 points and tied a career high with four steals.
 
Borowicz Sets Division I Scoring Record
With her 32 points against St. Thomas, Kacie Borowicz set the North Dakota Division I scoring record passing Lexi Klabo's total of 1,633 points. Borowicz moved into seventh on the UND all-time scoring list. Borowicz has reached the 20-point mark in six games this season and has been the Hawks leading scorer seven times.
 
The fifth year guard from Roseau, Minn. scored 674 points last season, the most by a Fighting Hawks since Marisa Leighton's 682 points in 2003-04.
 
Borowicz in the Rankings
Kacie Borowicz is the Summit League leader and ranks 13th nationally in points per game at 21.4. Borowicz is second in The Summit and seventh in the NCAA in free throw percentage at .922 percent.
 
She ranks fifth in the conference in field goal percentage at .420, third in made free throws with 47 and third in steals per game with 2.22.
 
Boards and Buckets
Kiera Pemberton is one of three freshmen in the NCAA to average over 8.5 points per game, over 6.5 rebounds per game and shoot over .550 from the field. She has been one of the most efficient scoring options for the Fighting Hawks so for this season with a .600 shooting percentage for 8.8 points per game. The freshmen from Langley, B.C. has reached double-digit scoring in each of her last three games and converted .750 percent of her field goal attempts over the last four contests.
 
Pemberton played a season-high 28 minutes against Eastern Michigan and turned in a 13-point and seven-rebound performance against the Eagles. She went a perfect 6-for-6 from the field with 12 points in the win over Minot State.
 
Pemberton has shot over .750 percent in four games this season, including the game against Grand Canyon where she posted her first career double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds on 7-for-9 shooting.
