After finishing seventh in the regular-season standings, the University of North Dakota will take on No. 2 seed South Dakota State in The Summit League Women's Basketball Tournament at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Fighting Hawks and Jackrabbits will tip at 2:30 p.m. Central in the second game of the day.
QUICK JUMPERS
*North Dakota women's basketball is the only team at UND with a postseason win since joining The Summit League.
*The Fighting Hawks are 1-1 in The Summit League Tournament, advancing to the semifinals after defeating Denver in 2019.
*The University of North Dakota's eight-point comeback at Omaha was its largest since overcoming an eight-point deficit at Grand Canyon in overtime (78-76).
*North Dakota held No. 20/12 South Dakota to 31 points in the first half last Saturday, the fewest points scored by the 2020 Coyotes at home in a Summit League game.

*North Dakota scored a combined 31 points off turnovers and outscored its foes 17-12 on fast break chances.
*UND is 2-1 in conference tournament games against South Dakota State, winning its last two meetings (last game - 2003 North Central Conference Tournament).
*Saturday's Summit League Quarterfinal will be the eighth postseason meeting between UND and SDSU.
*The Jackrabbits are the only team to outrebound the Fighting Hawks in the last five games (30-29).
SCOUTING SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
South Dakota State finished the regular season with a 21-9 record, including a 13-3 mark against Summit League foes. The Jackrabbits closed 2019-20 second in The League, four games ahead of third-place Oral Roberts. The Jacks only losses in the conference came at the hands of South Dakota and one loss to Denver. In the Fighting Hawks' and SDSU's last meeting, North Dakota battled with South Dakota State in the first half and entered the locker room trailing by only three, 31-28. The Jacks took advantage on the offensive glass with 15 second-chance points and scoring 24 points off turnovers. South Dakota State placed three student-athletes on the All-Summit League team led by first-team selection Paiton Burckhard. Tagyn Larson earned second-team accolades while Tori Nelson was named Freshman of the Year.
