Sara Bjerke joined the Department of Sports Medicine in 2014. She came to UND after working for Altru Health System as the primary Athletic Trainer at Grand Forks Red River High School for 17 years.  Bjerke graduated from UND with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science from Northern Michigan University. While at NMU, she served as graduate assistant athletic trainer. Originally from Sharon, ND, Bjerke and her husband have three children Jack, John and Samuel.
