Leighton Chamblee joined the Fighting Hawks in March 2025 as the Graphic Deisgner and Operations Coordinator. 

Chamblee comes to UND after a year at Sam Houston and serves as the Creative Content Coordinator for Sam Houston Athletics.

In this role, he served as the primary graphic designer which included making graphics for social media, digital advertising, and print. Chamblee's duties include designing all graphics and schedule posters for each sport at Sam Houston as well as serving as the primary Staff Photographer for the athletic department.

Chamblee previously served as the Staff Photographer for McNeese Athletics for five years prior to his arrival at Sam Houston in February 2024. In that role, he led the photography services for McNeese Athletics to support marketing, branding and communication efforts for the athletic department.

Chamblee has experience working among the highest levels of Division 1 Athletics including working the 2024 and 2025 FCS National Championship, the 2024 Men's Final Four, numerous baseball and softball regionals, as well as leading the photography efforts for multiple Southland Conference Tournaments. Chamblee has been an NCAA Photo of the Week winner multiple times across several sports and has had multiple pictures featured in Sports Illustrated.
 
A native of Sulphur, Louisiana, Chamblee received his B.S. in Sports and Wellness Management from McNeese State University in 2022 and his Master of Business Administration from McNeese State University in 2024.
