John Krill currently serves as a Student-Athlete Support Services Coordinator at the University of North Dakota, where he provides academic support, personal development programming, and tutor coordination to help student-athletes thrive both in and out of competition.
Prior to joining UND, he worked as a Graduate Assistant Intern for Student-Athlete Development at the University of Southern California (January 2024 – May 2024). In this role, he assisted in designing and executing programs focused on leadership, career preparation, and financial literacy for over 600 student-athletes. He also worked directly with student-athletes to help them secure post-graduate opportunities, including scholarships and fellowships, while tracking program impact to optimize student development initiatives.
Before his time at USC, John served as an Academic Study Consultant at Johns Hopkins University (August 2021 – May 2023). In this position, he mentored students—particularly student-athletes—on effective study strategies, time management, and personal development, helping them navigate the unique challenges of balancing academics and athletics. While a student at Johns Hopkins University, John was a varsity football kicker (2019-2022) and track and field sprinter (2022-2023) at Johns Hopkins University. He was a four-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll recipient, demonstrating his commitment to both academic and athletic excellence.
John earned his Master of Science in Applied Psychology from the University of Southern California in May 2024, specializing in Organizational and Consumer Psychology. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University (May 2023), where he minored in Leadership Studies and Entrepreneurship & Management.
With a passion for leadership, mentorship, and holistic student-athlete development, John is committed to fostering an environment that empowers student-athletes to reach their full potential on and off the field.
