Kenna Curry to compete at 2025 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships

| By:
GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The historic season continues for North Dakota thrower Kenna Curry, as she was selected to compete at the 2025 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships on Thursday, July 31 from historic Hayward Field at the University of Oregon.

Curry is one of 16 competitors in the hammer throw event, which will begin at 3:30 p.m. (CT) and will air on NBC/USATF.tv. The event serves as a qualifier for both the World Championships and the NACAC Championships, with the top-3 finishers becoming eligible for the championships.

The Elk Point, S.D., native qualified for the event with a personal best and school record toss of 223-7 (68.16m) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in May. The throw earned Curry First Team All-America status with a seventh-place finish to become only the second Fighting Hawk in UND's Division I history to gain first-team accolades.

Curry is the second Fighting Hawk to compete at the USATF Outdoor Championships, joining Molli Detloff who finished 10th in 2018.

On top of her All-America honors, Curry was also named Summit League Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year in June.
